Release history
A concise record of customer-facing changes shipped through the App Store.
- Add a vehicle by photographing its odometer. The add form is shorter and searches make and model.
- A Getting started card walks you through the first steps. With an empty garage you see a sample km tape, and a visible ⓘ explains how to read it.
- On each vehicle, Up now and Later separate what's urgent from what's coming. Reminders suggest time slots, and each one has its own lead time and snooze.
- A screen explains how €/km is calculated. Pick the cost period and export from a single sheet.
- Download my data and Delete all my data are in Settings.
- A screen explains why Rydger needs "Always" location before it asks. If a permission gets lost, a Fix line takes you back to it.
- Km keep counting after a long stop, and pick up again on their own if iOS closes the app.
- You see whether the Start/Stop automation ran and, if it failed, why. Rydger warns you after 20 minutes without a location or when Stop didn't run, and checks that Precise Location is on. Each pairing row shows its status.
- Pro: the paywall sums up what's included in a grid, the trial shows its dates, Free and Pro sit in two columns and PRO tags appear where they apply.
- Refreshed translations in 11 languages and many visual fixes.
- A Free and Pro screen lists what's free and what Pro adds, grouped by what it does for you. Find it in Settings and on every paywall.
- Your first three AI reads are free: reading a receipt or invoice, logging an expense in one line, and reading your odometer in the cloud.
- Rydger no longer offers the trial while you set up your first vehicle. It asks about Pro only once it has logged rides for you.
- Done by me: every service you log gets its own stamp with the task, date and odometer. History has a new Stamps view, and you can share your stamp page.
- Rydger reads like a logbook: "Logged at 21,800 km, 2 days ago."
- Distances follow your units everywhere, including the odometer on the service, expense, wear and receipt forms when you ride in miles, and due-date reminders arrive in your language.
- Replace on a vehicle transfer no longer removes your vehicle if you cancel before importing.
- Confirming an older odometer photo from the queue never moves your odometer back.
- A ride you are recording is no longer closed when you open Rydger on another device.
- This year's distance on the garage card no longer shows 0.
- Siri and Shortcuts: new "Log Expense" and "Log Odometer Reading" actions, so Siri or an automation can write to your ledger without opening the app.
- Rydger warns you and asks before saving an odometer reading that is lower than the last one, or a jump bigger than you could have ridden since then (usually an extra digit). It covers the manual sheet, photo confirmation and Siri.
- A "Rate Rydger" row in Settings.
- The odometer counter: tap a digit and type over it, delete from the right one digit at a time, or tap elsewhere to replace the whole reading. No more stuck placeholder when it is empty. Readings top out at 999,999.
- Your first 10 automatic rides are free, no Rydger Pro needed. They log themselves through your vehicle's Bluetooth and a Shortcuts automation.
- The Costs tab ranks your vehicles by cost per km. Tap one to open it.
- Safety notices have a screen of their own, with the full notice a tap away and reviewed ones folded away.
- The resale report reviews your history before you share it (odometer drops, long gaps, overdue maintenance) and marks each service as receipt photo or logged by hand.
- No Pro? You can buy a single resale report.
- The vehicle page is one readable screen with a safety callout, grouped maintenance and a navigation card.
- Logging a reading is faster: an odometer drum and a live bar to your next service. Expense categories wrap into rows.
- Your model's factory maintenance plan is free to read when you add a task. Pro fills it in with one tap.
- Automatic tracking guides your first vehicle through setup, checks your first ride, offers a help screen and warns you when Rydger has stopped recording.
- Try Rydger Pro free for 7 days, down from a month. Riders who have been here a while get a one-time offer.
- One question about analytics and offers when you first open the app, and one Privacy screen in Settings.
- Minor bug fixes and a smoother app launch.
- The Costs tab no longer has a black band at the top, and the vehicle name is no longer clipped in the entry sheets.
- The missing-pairing warning now appears only after you remove a pairing.
- Rydger has a new design: glass on a black background, big clear numbers and a garage that shows what's due next.
- Log a service and Rydger stamps it with the reading, the workshop and the date.
- Rydger Pro: give each vehicle's page an artwork backdrop, in one of four styles.
- The resale dossier is rebuilt for buyers: a cover, a stamped service history and your receipt photos, in the language you choose.
- Wrong due point on an item? Edit its "Last done" reading and date to fix it.
- Adding an expense now starts with the amount, and the odometer rolls up to your new reading.
- Receipts now read dates and amounts more reliably.
- Since September, reading the odometer in the cloud, vehicle transfers and catalog updates could fail with "Couldn't reach Rydger". They work again.
- Fixed crashes that could happen on older iOS versions.
- Choose your motorcycle's make and model from more than 1,300 models across 99 brands, with brand logos. The list updates on its own, no app update needed.
- Model not on the list? Tap "Send to Rydger" in the vehicle form and we'll add it.
- A new switch in Settings lets you share anonymous counts of how often the upgrade screens are seen. No account, device or vehicle data is sent.
- The app is now available in Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese (Portugal) and Swedish, alongside English and Spanish. It follows your iPhone's language.
- Fuel economy now uses your country's unit: km/l in Denmark, l/mil in Norway and Sweden.
- A redesigned app icon, with dark and tinted versions that follow your Home Screen style.
- In France, motorcycles now get their contrôle technique before their 5th anniversary and then every 3 years. Cars keep 4 years, then every 2.
- ITV and TÜV due dates now count from the day you passed the last inspection. Pass late and the next date moves; in Spain, pass within the 30 days before expiry and you keep your date.
- Motorcycles registered in Germany now get their first HU after 24 months instead of 36.
- Long vehicle names stay on one line in the Garage; the next-service badge moves below the name when there is no room beside it.
- The quick-pick distance buttons (5,000, 10,000, 20,000) in the maintenance form no longer break across two lines.
- See seasonal offers in the Garage, with a direct route to the offer.
- Choose whether to receive occasional offers and news alerts in the reminder setup, a one-time Garage card, or Settings. Turn them off anytime in Settings.
- Promotional notification titles and messages follow your device language.
- New home screen and Lock Screen widgets show your next service due, with a riding-pace-based estimate for Rydger Pro.
- Hybrid vehicles now get their own maintenance schedule, blending combustion and electric-side items.
- The empty garage now explains what Rydger does — maintenance reminders and true cost per kilometer — instead of just asking you to add a vehicle.
- Right after adding your first vehicle, Rydger offers to snap a photo of the dashboard to set the odometer.
- See a live sample of the cost-analytics dashboard before unlocking Rydger Pro.
- Improved VoiceOver labels, Dynamic Type sizing, and Reduce Motion support throughout the app.
- Fixed a dead end on the Costs tab when you don't have a vehicle yet.
- Fixed the notification permission sheet not filling its full height.
- Import and export rides as standard GPX files, with a local review before anything is saved.
- Review richer trip details including moving and stopped time, speed, elevation, route segments, and source-quality limits when the data is available.
- Keep GPX provenance and safely recognize duplicate, overlapping, and partial rides.
- Open GPX import directly from any vehicle's ride history, including vehicles that already have rides.
- Imported rides remain history-only by default; odometer credit is explicit and only covers eligible distance.
- GPS anomalies and segment gaps no longer inflate distance or draw misleading routes.
- Predict upcoming service dates from your riding pace and track tyre age and wear for chains, tyres, brake pads, and discs.
- Keep vehicle documents with renewal reminders, run T-CLOCS pre-ride checks, and manage seasonal storage.Storage Mode guide
