Terms of Service
Effective date: 21 October 2026 · Provider: Óscar Gallego Ruiz (individual developer), Spain — support@rydger.com
These terms cover the Rydger app for iPhone, iPad and Android and the website rydger.com. By installing the app or using the site you accept them. The short version: the app keeps your maintenance ledger on your phone, Rydger Pro is bought from Apple or Google, and the maintenance intervals it suggests are guidance, not a promise.
Who provides Rydger
Rydger is made and run by Óscar Gallego Ruiz, an individual developer based in Spain. There is no company behind it. “We” in these terms means him.
What Rydger does
Rydger keeps a ledger for your motorcycles and cars: maintenance reminders by date or distance, the cost per kilometre of owning each vehicle, rides recorded from your phone's location, and a service history you can share with a buyer. It works offline and needs no account. Some features depend on your device: location for automatic rides, the camera for photo reads, iCloud for the copy on your other Apple devices.
The free tier
The free tier covers one vehicle and the core features, with no time limit. The store listing says what is free and what needs Rydger Pro. We may change what the free tier includes in a future version, but a change never removes the data you have entered: you can export your full history as CSV at any time.
Rydger Pro: subscription, lifetime purchase and one-off purchases
Rydger Pro is sold through Apple's App Store on iPhone and iPad and through Google Play on Android, at the price shown in the store, under the store's own terms. Apple or Google take the payment, issue the receipt and handle refunds; we never see your payment details. The subscription renews automatically for the same period until you cancel it in the store's subscription settings at least 24 hours before the current period ends; cancelling stops the next charge and keeps Pro until the paid period runs out. The lifetime purchase is a single payment that keeps Rydger Pro for as long as Rydger is offered, on that store's account. A free trial, when offered, becomes a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends. One-off purchases, such as a resale report credit, are used once and are not refunded by us once used; the store's refund rules still apply.
Licence
The iPhone and iPad app is licensed to you under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement; these terms add to it, and on anything about the licence itself the EULA prevails. The Android app is licensed under the Google Play terms. In both cases the licence is personal and non-transferable: you may use the app on devices you own or control, and you may not copy, resell, modify or reverse-engineer it beyond what the law allows.
Acceptable use
Use the app and rydger.com for your own vehicles and within the law. Do not overload, probe or attack rydger.com, scrape it, resell its content, or work around purchase checks, request limits or the monthly AI quota. Do not share a service history that is not yours to share. We may block requests that abuse the service.
Maintenance intervals are guidance
The schedules Rydger suggests come from manufacturers' manuals, public sources and what you enter yourself. They can be wrong, outdated or not match your exact model, year or use. Your manual and a qualified mechanic prevail. You remain responsible for your vehicle's maintenance and roadworthiness. The same goes for values the app reads from photos or text: an odometer, an invoice or a document can be misread, so check the form before you save it.
Tools on the website
The calculators and checkers on rydger.com are informational. Their results depend on what you type and on general guidance, not on your vehicle's actual condition, and they are not legal, financial or technical advice. Some pages carry affiliate links, marked as such.
Your data
Your ledger is yours. It lives on your device and, if you turn it on, in your own private iCloud or Google backup, not on our servers. What the app and the site send, and to whom, is in the privacy policy. If Rydger ever shuts down, your data stays on your device and you can still export it.
No warranty, limited liability
Rydger is provided as is, by one person, with no promise that it is free of errors or always available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost data, or damage to a vehicle from following or missing a reminder. Nothing here limits the rights you have as a consumer under Spanish and EU law, or liability for intent or gross negligence.
Changes to the app and to these terms
We may change, add or retire features. If these terms change, the updated version is published at this same URL with a new effective date, and a change that matters to you is announced in the app or in the changelog. Using Rydger after that date means you accept the updated terms; if you do not, stop using the app and cancel any subscription in the store.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. If you live in the European Union, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country and may bring a claim before the courts there.
